When you log into your Matcha, you’ll notice a new option beneath the one-to-one matching programs—Pods. Here, you can view and manage the Pods you’re part of or create a new one tailored to your specific goals.

Two Types of Pods, Endless Possibilities

We know you’re busy, so we’ve made it easy to choose a Pod that suits your needs best:

• Accountability Pods: Perfect for when you need that gentle nudge (or firm shove) to keep on track. These Pods are all about setting goals, sharing progress, and celebrating wins—nothing says "job well done" like a round of applause and high-fives from people who get it. Whether you’re training for a marathon, launching a side project, or simply trying to build better habits, your Accountability Pod has your back.
• Mastermind Pods: Want to level up? Mastermind Pods are your think tank. Swap insights with peers, brainstorm solutions, and push each other to new heights. It’s like having your personal board of advisors, minus the stuffy suits.

Creating Your Matcha Pod

Setting up a pod is as easy as brewing your favorite cup of matcha: simple and enjoyable. Let’s say you’re a podcaster looking to connect with others in your field to exchange ideas and enhance your work. You could create a Pod (& call it "Pod Pod" cause who doesn’t love a good pun?) with a goal to meet monthly to swap ideas, share feedback, and improve your podcasting game.

You can customize everything from meeting frequency to duration. For example, you might decide that 45 minutes is the sweet spot—long enough to be productive but short enough to keep everyone engaged. And with Matcha hosting the video calls, you can focus on the conversation, not the logistics.

Keeping It Small (But Mighty)

What sets Matcha Pods apart from other platforms and noisy groups like Slack or WhatsApp? We decided to limit Matcha Pods to six people. Matcha Pods are intentionally small, fostering meaningful connections, intimacy, and trust. That way, no one gets lost in the crowd, every voice is heard, and everyone is committed to reaching a common goal. 

Inviting members to your Pod is a breeze—simply enter their emails, and you’ll have your Pod up and running in no time. And if your group isn’t full right away, don’t sweat - you can always add in more people later.

Once your Pod is set, Matcha makes it simple to keep everyone on the same page. Sync schedules, adjust meeting times, and even message each other asynchronously—all from one easy-to-use dashboard.

Creating Your Own Pod: A Quick How-To

1. Log In and Find Pods: After logging into Matcha, look for the new “Pods” option under your one-to-one matching programs. Click it!
2. Choose Your Pod Type: Decide whether you’re creating an Accountability Pod to keep your goals on track or a Mastermind Pod to spark creative collaboration.
3. Set Up Your Pod: Give your Pod a name that reflects your group’s vibe.
4. Schedule Your Meetings: Choose how often you want to meet—weekly, monthly, or whatever works for your group. Matcha hosts the video calls, so it’s one less thing for you to worry about, and you can focus on connecting.
5. Invite Your Crew: Add up to five members to your Pod. Keep it small and mighty—that’s where the magic happens.
6. Customize As Needed: Adjust meeting details, invite new members, chat async and track everything in one dashboard.
